TEACHING
Alongside my performance and creative practice I have led and facilitated professional classes and workshops in movement and dance for a variety of studios. I teach in a range of Higher Education and conservatoire settings working with dancers, actors, and musicians. These encounters continue to inspire and inform my teaching practice.

My main question is 'why dance?' and how to sustain a creative dance and movement practice over a lifetime. I am curious as to what makes dance 'dance' and how this may differ (or not) from movement and the connection between moving and dancing. What keeps me going in the face of adversity, inspired by my recovery from cancer and the performance practice of 'non-stopping' by Jeanine Durning.
I am interested in the poetics of space and how the body meets itself in space - finding meaning through the act of dancing.

I am interested in dancing and moving in groups and how being in relation to others invites the possibility for dancing to emerge.
